Eva

I believe that birth is a special private family moment that belongs in the home. It is a transformative event that is always carried with you. It is a unique mammalian process that involves one’s body, mind, and psyche, and pulls you into an altered state of consciousness. I believe in women. I believe in their strength and innate knowledge of their bodies. I believe each birth and mother is unique, and I practice individualized care.

About Me

I am Eva French, a second generation midwife. Birth has always been a part of my life. After earning my Bachelors degree in Sociology with a focus on Women Gender Studies at St. John’s University I began apprenticing in midwifery in 2012. I am a traditionally trained midwife and have been apprenticing under experienced midwives over the last ten years. I have done the majority of my training with my mother, Kimberly French. She is a talented midwife and has been serving the women of Northeast Ohio for the past 36 years. I also trained in a freestanding birth center in Duluth, Minnesota and Haiti, as well as spending time working with a busy Amish home birth practice in Harrisburg , Pennsylvania.
